My phase shifted QCWDRSSTC
« on: January 03, 2020, 10:32:32 AM »
Hello everyone´╝ü
I built my first buck powered qcwdrsstc in 2017.But buck circuits cause extra circuits and costs, which I don't like. Here are some pictures of that coil.

This is the video of that coil.   https://www.bilibili.com/video/av9730258/
I want to reduce his size until I touch phase-shifting work, and then I start a new engineering design in 2019.
After three consecutive nights of work, I finished my PCB production and sent it back to engineering production.

This is the circuit I built. The parts are scattered on the ground.

This is my secondary coil. It's really small compared with my hand.

This is the whole.

This is the test phase-shift waveform.

I input 220V through my voltage regulator, and the power is 660w. I am very satisfied with the spark generated by this small secondary!

Hi and thank you for sharing some pictures of your setup.
Can you provide some more infos?
What part is the heart of your driver?
Do you alternating the hard switching from one half-bridge to the other?
What is the resonant frequency of this small coil?

Currently I am also in process of building a phase-shifted QCW coil.
I have attached a picture of my setup.

Hello my English level is not very good, I rely on translation software to see these words. :) I would like to share more things! First drive me with a 24V switching power supply! I didn't use the alternating phase shift. My secondary resonance frequency is 370 kHz.Your circuit looks more beautiful!

Are you using a FPGA or a somithing like a Cypress PSoC?

I use CPLD model epm240t100C5N :)

Thank you very much.

Do you generate the timing for the phase-shifting fully digital?
How do you handle the frequency variation during spark growth?

My design is based on the MAX1000 (Intel MAX10) FPGA evaluation board.

At present, I haven't designed a digital phase-shifting drive. The current drive is still an analog one. In the future, I will design a digital one. The frequency does change during the arc growth process, but as long as the coil is adjusted to make the arc longest. ;)

I would like to learn more about the driver PCB you used!

Is it your own design?
