Hi,Radeck.
First, the burst length should be  can extends as long as 100us
Second let take a look at 2 images in the file attached if your case correspondent with upper image, your coils was detuned, include in this case the coil still give few cm coron
Goood luck.

Do you mean the frequencies were not matched in a case when I saw this current waveform? I'd say it is an exact opposite since when I was trying to match both frequencies via primary inductance when I was at closest point (loudest and longest sparks - 1 - 2 cm) I got the waveform looking exactly like that. If I had changed the primary inductance from this point I'd get even smaller sparks and the waveform would shorten without touching the interrupter.

I will definitely increase the max. ontime anyway.
