Russian Marx generator test center torn down
« on: February 06, 2019, 08:45:25 PM »
This is a sad occasion to look at a huge Marx generator in Russia that has been torn down to make space for a shopping centre. Luckily a few Russian high voltage enthusiasts managed to save as many toroids and capacitors as they could drag away in a large trailer.

First post will be the before pictures and the second the after pictures.

Sad to see the destruction - I assume it was long decommissioned though?

Very #yolo method of knocking it down, I wonder if the Russians learnt something from Fred Dibnah?
