Identifying a drsstc driver
« on: January 02, 2021, 04:10:29 AM »
Hello all, happy new year

I have come across another China driver (https://m.aliexpress.com/item/4001171993790.html) and I have no idea what type of UD it is (if any). I was thinking it might be a 1.3b variant but the push pull mosfets seem to be different. Any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance.

IMO, your best bet is to simply purchase one of Gao's UD2.7C boards and put in the work to populate the board. None of these Chinese boards are going to come with parseable instructions, datasheets, schematics, support, etc. And till you try and find a board that works for your use case, and blow up IGBTs, etc, you'll at least be at the price of a fully populated and tested UD2.7C.

Buy once, cry once, as they say.

The UD2.7C is well-tested and well-documented, and you'll get plenty of support from folks here (as I, myself, can attest to).

I am soldering up a ud2.7 as we speak lol, more just curious what this board could be.

If you scroll down to the description of the item it literally says "DRSSTCThe driver version is1.3b". There is no doubt it is a Steve Ward UD1.3b with a different MOSFET driver TC442x and perhaps different MOSFETs as well.
