Musical SSTC Low Voltage Test
« on: September 01, 2020, 10:12:28 PM »
Tested the bridge at 30V
It produces a small amount of breakout but it's a comfortable sound level.

Very good, congratulations on getting it to play music. The music piece does sound a little weird, takes some editing to get a track to perform well on a coil.

Have you taken any videos at full voltage yet?

Looks nice and compact :)
Would love to hear more details about the build.
Fres? What transistors you use? How you drive it, etc :)

I'm still working on the interrupter. I hope to increase the polyphony and fix the pitching.

I don't have a variac so I'm hesitant to put it on full voltage. I don't have any spare mosfets on hand either. I'm currently just using a transformer. I know someone with a variac though so I'll see if I can get in touch with them.

Here's the schematics and PCB: https://easyeda.com/zipdox/pws-sstc
I'll attach some pictures of the inside later

I think compact is an understatement.
