Help needed: HV Driver circuit
« on: July 04, 2020, 12:37:48 PM »
Dear all-

sorry for my ignorance but I never had a proper electronics training.

My goal is to build a circuit being able to drive diffenet kinds of IGBT bridges through a GDT. The bridge then shall drive a series resonant HV Ferrite Transformer for a HV supply for vacuum experiments.

The attached is what I came up with (mosty inspired by Steve Ward). Should my circuit work?

Even bigger problem though- I want to make a one sided PCB in order to be able to mill it out with my cnc- but I am not able to get the autorouter up and working..

Any help would be great- werhaps when it is finished something that other members also could benefit from?

THANKS
Roman

No -- emitter outputs need pull-down resistors, e.g. 1k.  Alternately, use TL598, which has totem pole outputs.

Thank you so much!

So like this should be OK?

Uhhh, heh, check where C10 and related connections are going.
