did you plug to the ac power  supply or direct plug in to home's supply

It is just plugged into a wall socket in my house.

I have managed to modify this cooker to external control, I have made this document to explain how.

I hope you can use it , and give inspiration to other projects. My purpose was to make a temperature controlled cooker for beer brewing.

Good to hear from you Carsten and thanks for sharing your results. Which power level does it run at when fed with 20 kHz and which duty cycle did you use in your own oscillator?

I will soon get my unit back on the bench and dig a little deeper on the control IC, hopefully I can find a way to interface it by looking at the communication between HMI and control IC. It would be fun to get bumpless control over it instead of on/off control.

What is your conclusion on the pan detection function? is it really something it measures on some kind of back-emf on the driver output? Or it is just not a problem for you size you always have a pan on it?

The original cooker on level nine (max) is continus 46% ON. So I made the oscillator 50% , so this means as long as the control PIO is active, the cooker is giving out max power.

I measured that the pulse it give out for "pot detection" will give a "ringing" if no pot present, this is fed to AIO (or may be PIO level only)
If pot is present there will be almost none ringing after the detection pulse.

In software this could be detected via either peak detection, RMS detection , or sampling ... I tried to mess with it with a DC voltage , but it cost me a new set of output Transistors  :)

I added my measurements on "pot detection", however it could probably be disabled by setting the pin permanent LOW, to fool system to believe that the pot is always present. However I have not tested this.
