**Dual Resonant Solid State Tesla coils (DRSSTC) / Russian two giant DRSSTC**

Hello everyone , Kaizer ivited me here via youtube coment to show our recent creation - two big Tesla coils.

The construction of these two coils was carried out for 1 month.

Some features:

Coil height 3.3m

The diameter of the toroid 2m

Secondary coil is 315x1600mm (wire 1.2mm)

The secondary coil is coated with a special black epoxy (50kV / mm)

Toroid is made of aluminum tubes with a diameter of 25mm. It took 2 days and work of 3 people to create one. Its diameter is 2 meters. Weight is about 35kg.

For preventing of breakdown and ionization from the primary winding and the strike ring, it was decided to make the spherical primary winding a 7/8" copper pipe.

Well, the most interesting:

Resonant frequency is 35kHz

The power part is a dual H-bridge, made of infenion FZ900 IGBTs, (1800A 1200v)

MMC - 1.1 uf 20kv special Russian (Soviet standard) military capacitors made for personal order (5x220nf 20kv)

OCD limited at 3800A (in the future we want to set 10000A)

DC capacitors: 15000uf 1000V

In the future we will make PFC for 200 kW (380VAC to 800VDC)

Each coil consumes about 35kW of power from 3 phase mains 380VAC

Our driver based on CPLD

The maximum spark reaches 7.5m.

We dont have suitable power supply to use both of them at maximum power.
