Hi all,
I am searching for a new spectrum analyzer, since the one I have is VERY old.
I have the following requirements:
- should be a table top unit (no handheld)
- must have at least 3.2GHz bandwith, better more
- should be somewhat modern
- must have basic curser functions for amplitude and frequency
- some demodulation capability would be nice
- can be some kind of radio testset as well, as long as it has a capable spectrum analyzer function
The unit can be broken as well (makes a nice repair project for sure).
Let me know if any of you want to sell something :)

Sorry I no longer have my TEK492. That was an oldie but a goody. Built in the early 80's, went up to 22GHz, (or 220GHz with the waveguide mixer), had minimum RBW of 300Hz. Gorgeous piece of engineering inside. Only fix I had to do was to one of the attenuator stages - some idiot must have overloaded it in the past. Tiny dot of conductive paint across the break in a thin film resistor, and it was good to go.
