Drsstc Driver Board for Tesla Coil Driver Optic Fiber Splice
« on: January 15, 2021, 04:41:47 PM »
Hi, does anyone know the driver below
is this valid for have good performance ? how to use the optical connector HFBR 2521
where I can buy a driver fully equiped with phase correction, OCD, Feed back ?
Thank you

Hi, the same question I have.
I'm asking to all the vendors for schematic and (maybe fantastic) FPGA design to develop on it, I use Altera on high power induction heating frequency converters and this can be a good Hw to avoid shematic design, Pcb and so on
The debug connector seems the standard Altera ByteBlaster Jtag port.
If soneone has any imformation plese post here
There are some version of this board, uses Max II FPGA and one version is in BGA package.
Seems that no vendor knows nothing!

hi, about programmation :
"The HighSpeed DRSSTC driver board uses ALTERA MAX II EPM240T100C5N as the main
control chip. Users with certain capabilities can write their own programs and program
the HighSpeed DRSSTC driver board. "

Seems impossible to find any information or mini user guide to use this board, this brand "cirquiter hardware" produce some boards but seems doesn't exist on the web.
I have received the board, I will test with oscilloscope and signal generator how it drives the inverter gates, manage overcurrent and I will check with Altera Quartus/usb Blaster if Max V  FPGA can be read or is security protected.
If does not work properly or anyway I want to implement a different logic I will start a new design from zero.
If someone has some information about this board (all based on MAX V I suppose similar) is welcome

Yes I know this post and also another of a guy who has developed on Altera, I have yet written to MrBlack but without succes, and this is a post of 3 years ago.
I think I have to restart from zero, even if readable the fpga is only to backup the code to restore after if necessary

Hi JCF,

The driver I have seen advertised that has good documentation and seems to have a LOT of features is the one from SimpleTesla:
https://simpletesla.ru/en/shop/simpledriver2en/

I have not tested this driver myself but would be very interested in hearing back from anyone who has :-)

The developer also seems to be actively answering questions, unlike every Chinese model, so there is that as a bonus LOL

Just so you know: the UD3 is using fully programmable and also fully open source hardware and software. And we are always looking for contributors to the project ;)

It uses a psoc5 so even the analog stuff is programmable and the programmer costs like 20$

I have buyed the Cypress eval board CY8CKIT-059 and also some altera EPM240 based board. The initial idea was to start with cypress but I have no experience with this, instead I use Altera Cycolone V Quartus and Nios soft core cpu so more simple for me.
Also I have no clear idea about digital limits of the FPGA inside psoc, I have a lot of ideas to implement and FPGA can be a limit, but the idea to became a developer on Psoc platform intrigues me

About this chinese driver I have obtained a minimal manual, that says... nothing in practice :) but a pinout connection of the Fpga exist.
Download quickly because is a wetransfer link
https://we.tl/t-M72ZlewnfL

First test to connect via Jtag to USB blaster and Quartus programmer failed, device not recognised.. I have to investigate about connector... FPGA connections and so on  :(

So are you saying the emp240 on the driver is not programed... because this is what I have found, all input are correct but emp240 does nothing like it had never been programed.

I have scoped this board out and spent many hours with it. All the logic input works correct just seems the 240 chip is empty, not programed or not working, its clock 25mhz is correct but chip dead.
