Did you try to add such close proximity walls in JavaTC? It has a really big effect on the secondary circuit resonant frequency.

Yes, seconder resonant reduce to 210khz to 185 khz. My primary coil is not fully adjusted at the moment, I am planning to make a new adjustable primary winding with 1/4" copper pipe in my hand.

My new full bridge inverter is quite powerful, 6 amp fuse blows at 115v ac. I got dozen of broken fuse I don't want to install 8 or 10 amp fuses for IGBT's health. Clearly I don't think I'll try with 230v ac in the indoor (at home) environment.

MMC cold, heatsink cold but bus cap (2200 uf/400 v) a little hot. Is this normal?

Edit: I would recommend the IXGK60N60C2D1 IGBT. It's same to IXGN60N60c2d1 minibrick but TO-264 case. Only 4.5 usd with taxes. digikey or mouser are not in stock, but my local store have ~20000 in stock

I made a new primer. Tuned best point to resonant. I first tried to wrap the PVC pipe. it's not a good idea. Because the coupling was too high, so the sparks from the primer to the secondary. Then I removed the PVC pipe, adjusted the height of the secondary and primery.

Good results with all the MIDI playing, makes it worth the effort of building it

It sounds like your DC bus capacitors are not suitable for the amount of ripple current you are loading it with, try to do the calculations for your coil as you can see how to do here: http://kaizerpowerelectronics.dk/tesla-coils/drsstc-design-guide/dc-bus-capacitor/

Noise is a serious issue with a DRSSTC and I have had neighbors yelling at me to stop it, especially when we ran the large DRSSTC at 500 BPS 14kW, that was one loud and ear ringing tone
