Title: Siemens Polyphos 30 xray machine
Post by: Mads Barnkob on December 19, 2018, 08:35:32 PM
I got hold of this decommissioned xray machine, which also has quite a few years on its back. All cables cut, missing most of the mechanical parts and motors for adjusting head/table. Missing remote control and possible some external power supplies.

What surprised me the most was the wire-wrapped backplane!

I will do a video walk-through of the system once I know some more about it, hopefully I can find a manual, but it does not seem like it floats all over the internet for that model.

Enjoy :)

Teardown of the Siemens Polyphos 30 collimator and image plate. Collimator had an interesting moving blinds design with a lot of gears, pulleys and strings. Image plate has a lead grid and some kind of sensor.
