How can I make my driver better

I'm inexperienced with designing HV circuits, if someone tell me if this modified slayer exciter will work and how I could improve it, that would be very helpful.

Here's the schematic:
The diodes are 1N5819Gs, the MOSFET is an ‎IRF1324PBF‎, the cap. is a ‎UHE1E102MHD6‎, and the resistor is an ‎RSF1JT22K0‎.

Search for "single MOSFET Tesla Coil" for some of the most basic circuits that can actually put out some real sparks.

I would however recommend that you look into building a Steve Ward Mini SSTC with a half-bridge: http://kaizerpowerelectronics.dk/tesla-coils/kaizer-sstc-i/

Using a 25V cap on a 24V supply isn't that smart. Also I recommend you put a switch after the cap so that the cap is charged before the coil is switched on or it might fail to start resonating. Also use a smaller voltage first of course to make sure it runs and current limit it because if it doesn't oscillating, the mosfet will just conduct continuously and blow up.
