Static Spark Gap with Finned Electrodes?

So something I saw somewhere on the internet, gave me the idea to incorporate alternating sized washers as a sort of "heatsink" and the fan blowing down into the gap.
I may raise up the base and add some large through-holes for airflow, but I'm curious what you all think of this design and any predictions, suggestions, etc. you might have!
I realize this might just be a silly idea, but at least it looks cool and that's all that matters, right?

Not a silly idea at all. Cooling the electrodes makes quenching easier. It also reduces the possibility of melting your electrodes.

It was a widely used practise to cool spark gaps, when spark gaps was actually a thing of "every day" apparatuses.

Like some of the good old antique medical quack stuff. Like this diathermy box.



This type of heat sink is also known from tube plate connections, but it has another purpose, to dissipate from the plate connection as to not crack the glass around it if the plate load was running in maximum range.
