Hi, nice QCW you've got there :)

It's hard to tell why your ramp is not rising as expected without further information.
Under which conditions did this happen?
  • I suppose the Arduino in your picture is the ramp generator. Maybe the code is buggy or not configured correctly. Or the Arduino was affected by interference from the sparks. You could try shielding it in a metal box.
  • I'd also try to measure the ramp directly at the output of the Arduino using an RC filter during operation.
  • Your input voltage could be dropping during the pulse due to insufficient bus capacity.
  • Maybe your buck driver is faulty. Does it run open-loop or with feedback?

Without further information, it's hard to troubleshoot this.
