Here is my current "lab", approximately 10 square meters of unheated basement, good enough for dump tools and parts, but not for measurement equipment.
So I have to keep all my expensive and sensitive equipment in my apartment at the 2nd floor, while all the dirty work can be done here, as well as a huge collection of parts, which is pushing me out of the lab, there is hardly room for two humans in there by now :)
I even lend a neighbouring room for 3 additional file cabinets for parts in a separate room just to reclaim some space where the work bench is located.

Like the sign post above the door.
That is what my wifey thinks of my hobby interests :)
She does not know it but when we had all wiring redone in the house I had the electrican to put in a spare 16A 3N on/off switch and breaker in the circuit breaker cabinett. To be continued for my (hopefully) soon built outhouse and playground... (my exuse is of course that I need a place to store the lawn mower, repair our kids bikes etc yadayadaa...)

For the English readers, the sign says "Brain damage clinic", I used to live next door to it and one weekend some drunk people smashed up their sign, so I cleaned it away from the road :)
Good call on getting a spare and large breaker installed for the "shed", I only got 230VAC/6A in the lab, if I need more I have to drag out a 25m cable to get 3x400VAC/16A :)
