DRSSTC: MIDI interface with arduino

Hi all,

Now that my mini DRSSTC is up and running, may I know how I can use an arduino to read a MIDI input and convert it to square waves with variable ontime to be transmitted to the DRSSTC? I have absolutely zero experience with MIDI, and googling doesn't provide much answers regarding these musical interrupters.

I use the oneTesla midi interrupter for my sstc. They have the code and schematics available for free. Although another member here (I can't remember the thread) was having some popping issues with it.

I'd go for onetesla, it takes only a few minutes to assemble it from atmega328p board and few pots

I'm currently working on something else but I'll certainly try to debug it, and/or rewrite the code

Atomfusion also made a thread about the MIDI interrupter he made using a Arduino Uno, slightly less flexible, but it will make you able to play music
