Test firing my ud2.7 question.
« on: June 04, 2022, 06:17:22 PM »
Got the ud2.7 on the bench, the interrupter running about 150bps and on time around 30us. The fiber is connected and ud2.7 seeing the interrupter pulses.

Now the question I want to apply to the phase input a sine of about 5 volts, all of this without anything on the ct output. Do I need dummy loads for just this test, or will doing this open circuit trash anything on the output. I don't think it will, but don't want to trash anything.  I have read on quick testing the ud2.7x, but they have the ct connected. Thanks for any help.

I cannot think of any issues with your test plan.  Sounds like a good safe strategy for careful bring-up.

So thanks for all the help I have received.

You are certainly welcome.  Information sharing is the point of this forum.  BTW, if you read something multiple times and it still doesn't make sense, feel free to ask about it.  No point in wasting a bunch of time when it is possible that the post you are rereading contains an error.  None of us are immune from mistakes; certainly I'm not.
