Title: Anet A8 3D Printer, unboxing, upgrades and test
Post by: Mads Barnkob on February 06, 2020, 01:17:46 PM
This is the unboxing of a Anet A8 3D prrinter that was bought for my father to experiment with. Hopefully this will give some good help to make parts for electronics as part of the diy way of life :)

Following videos, in the future, will be about upgrades to the printer and test of its printer capabilities.

This is the first upgrade for the Anet A8 3D printer. A new powersupply from a HP server will be a fire-hazard reducing upgrade compared to the original undersized and over-specified power supply that came with the printer.

12V @ 62A is of cause much more powerful that needed for the printer, but this will keep the fan spinning at minimum speed. You do not want to be in the same room as a server power supply running at full current output with maximum fan spin. It is like a jet engine.
