Help finding correct IGBT Module

Hello everyone, I'm about out of ideas on this problem and am looking for some knowledge.

I am looking for IGBT modules that I believe are obsolete. The modules we pulled off the old equipment are CM600HU-12F modules made by Mitsubishi or PowerEx.

Now here is the confusing part... the old modules have a voltage drop of 0.2075 to 0.2120 VDC across the diode. The replacement CM600HU-12F IGBT's have a voltage drop of .3-.5. We tried them but they burn up. I am wondering if the older IGBT's that work contain a germanium diode instead of a silicon diode which may explain the difference in voltage drop. I'm not an electrical engineer just making some guesses.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to obtain modules that have a voltage drop of 0.2075 to 0.2120 VDC across the diode? Also, I have reached out to many suppliers of modules but they don't seem to have any technical expertise to help.

How do you know that it the slightly higher forward voltage that is causing the IBGT to burn up?

Rather than the switching properties are different, and hence power loss is different.

A germanium diode in an Power module IGBT sounds like something I never heard of.

How do you measure the forward voltage drop? If you measure large current co pack diodes such as in these power modules the test current is very low, and that just barely registers a low forward voltage. Looking at the datasheets you see that the forward voltage increases with current.

That measn that the measurement 0,2 or 0,3-0,5 is not completely relevant to the real use where much higher currents are present.
