Connect multiplayerpiano.com to a tesla coil

How stupid of an idea would it be to connect the MIDI output from multiplayerpiano.com to a tesla coil? Just thinking. If I can get my tesla coil reliable enough maybe I could do a livestream or something and let people play on it. If I feel like it I could even make a custom website for it. It reminds me of the David Blaine event with arcattack, although that was a bit different.

Obviously there's the risk of people playing black MIDI or something to try and destroy the coil. Would have to try and mitigate that and do some testing.

Let me know your thoughts.

I think the idea is cool but would probably end in chaos, unless there is some moderator to manage whongets to play on it. I wouldn't really worry about the safety of the coil if the interrupter has proper duty limiting though.

I built a MIDI interpreter and interrupter for my DRSSTC, which I connect to a live keyboard.  Plan to have it out for a third event soon (July 4th - Independence Day here).  FPGA code limits number of simultaneous notes to 4, dropping any excess notes from low-frequency up.  Also shortens pulse widths if the duty cycle gets too high.  Here's a video from July 4, 2020 of neighbor kids playing the coil:

Well of course I'd use a separate lobby on MPP. A better solution would be a custom web app where I can appoint people to play on the coil.
