Free 1-HP VFD's if you act fast

It's been clean-out week at the office. Many palletized e-scrap boxes are overflowing.
I'm tempted to skim some things for play or teardown, but have resisted so far.
Anybody in USA want the pictured items to play with? The two VFD's appear to be practically identical.



The geared brushless motor is meant to work with a controller by Oriental Motor, not the 3 phase VFD's.

My "duty to the stuff" is not great enough to take them and store them until flea market next March.

Had some fun with the gearhead motor.   

The connector with larger wires has 4 contacts: apparently three phase delta and a shield with no DC continuity to the other pins.   Between any 2 pins is about 6.5 ohms, consistent with a triangle of 10-ohm windings. (Am reminded of Mads's measurement of C value in three-phase PFC capacitors.)

Without power, the 0.75" output shaft can be turned by hand, with no apparent cogging. With two pins connected to a DC power supply, delivering 0.65 V and 0.1 A, the output shaft  developed cogging torque that was hard to overcome by hand.   I could measure the step angle and look up the gear ratio, to determine the number of stable angles in armature rotation.

Connecting the two pins to an AC voltmeter instead of power supply, it wasn't hard to get 10 volts by hand-turning the shaft.
