Great to see a heater in the workshop, I wish mine had enough insulation for it to make sense to have a heater. As its next to our house, it gets enough heat that it can barely stay at 0 to -1 degree Celsius, when we had -15 degrees Celcius last winter.

The place where you do your thinking, is also where you have the fire extinguisher 

I did not see your vacuum cleaner, but it must be somewhere with such a tidy shop!

How about your ceiling lighting fixtures? Is it fluorescent or LED? I never regretted putting up a lot of LED fixtures.

Thanks Mads. The shop is fully insulated so it easily stays warm. Next year I am going to install a mini-split heat pump to give me some cooling in the summer. How's that for decadent!

There is a vacuum cleaner (shop vac) but I didn't think anyone would be too excited to see it! I didn't really talk about the dehumidifier either. 

I built the shop 9 years ago. At that time, LED light fixtures were rare and expensive so I currently have fluorescent lighting and plenty of it. There are 4 dual-lamp fixtures with 8-foot tubes. I believe they are 5000 degree K lamps so the light is white and very bright! I ensured that there would be plenty of light because I was so tired of working in dim lighting before I built this shop. The only downside to the fluorescent lamps is the heat. In the winter the heat is helpful but in the summer it can raise the temperature in the shop by several degrees in an afternoon. I will eventually switch over to LED lighting.

That fire extinguisher will come in handy if I ever have a hot idea.  By the way, it is a halon fire extinguisher that my brother gave me. They are getting hard to get and expensive because I believe halon is considered a greenhouse gas. So if I ever have an electrical fire I won't have to spray that nasty powder from the cheaper fire extinguishers and have a mess to clean up.

That is a nice shop with a lot of good equipment! I would love to have some of that stuff! I am very poor when it comes to fabrication tools. I have a nice metal work bench, a nice vice, a hand drill, a dremel, and a jigsaw. Plus the usual hand tools.

Oh yea, you have BIG coil too!

I started out years ago with tools similar to yours. We all have to start somewhere. I'm retired so I've had a lot of time to build up to this level.
