[WTT/WTB] High voltage capacitors for a Cockcroft Walton multiplier

Hello all,

I am interested in buying some capacitors fit for a CW Cockcroft Walton multiplier stack. Input voltage will be around 50kv from a pretty big ferrite transformer. Looking to use about 6 stages (24 total capacitors). Frequency will be 80-150Khz. Screw terminals or axial leads work fine, although I would like to stay away from tab/hockey puck style caps.

Would like to trade, I have a wide variety of high power silicon (300-400a 600-1200v bricks). I also have lots of Scintillating crystals and also some decent sized electrolytic capacitors (5000uf if I remember correctly).

With a 50 KV RMS input, the peak voltage will be 70 KV. You want the capacitance for each leg  to be rated at least 2X that. This indicates that the capacitance of each leg will require a voltage rating of 140 KV. Assuming capacitors with a 35 KV peak rating you will need several HV capacitors in series for each leg to achieve that rating, at least 4 per leg I would guess. That will add up to a minimum of 48 capacitors for a half-wave multiplier design. You may want to re-evaluate your design.
