Just a quick question on NST insulation...

Hi, so im currently just optimizing a coil i did... i was wondering if there is any problem with my saprkgap being so close to the NST... only thing i could do is to put it on the outside bout i would prefear not to..

I'd say there is no problem with that setup. The only thing coming to my mind is that the spark gap creates a lot of EM noise which might induce some unwanted spikes in the transformer windings, but the NST is shielded with it's metal case.
Those electrodes might also be so close to the metal casing of the NST that the arc might jump to the case, especially in rotary spark gap system with no safety gap. I would put some insulation between the electrodes and the transformer case.
