ud2.7 list of components so other's dont have to struggle like i did

Here is a full digikey shopping cart containing all the components needed to assemble a ud2.7c. to cut costs I went with the industrial fiber optics receiver. (note that to save even more cost you can omit the fiber cable and transmitter I simply needed them for my project). the only things missing from this cart are the variable inductors (coil craft is the best place) and pcb, as well as two of the power mosfets and one mosfet driver (I did not need both gdt outputs).

finished component cart without the fiber cable and transmitter is just 34$

Just my $.02, tt would be super helpful for others if you included component references as well. I found this extremely helpful during assembly. Just went through one baggie at a time until the board was put together without having to do a ton of cross references and risk messing something up.

You can sometimes find very good deals for the HFBR optical hardware on ebay. I recently found some for less than 2€ a piece. New old stock, but I haven't had issues with them so far.

I actually prefer the industrial fiber ones. since i'm using a arduino for my interrupter ease of connection is nice.

Yessir! I use it because I often put in orders before I need the parts, then sometimes forget what I was going to use each part for when digging through parts weeks or months later.

update: components all arrived, everything seems to be right!

update, 90% of the components are soldered, digikey messed up my order and rounded everything over 10 to 10 so they are resending the missing components. Should be done in the next week or so!

welp, i would have much rather done a thru hole version. Thanks if this one doesn't work i will just wait a bit till i can restock the hobby fund and try.

I have a version called ud29 which also provides pulse skip for basically nothing additional (one transistor)
