Hail fellows, I'm new here. ;D

Well, little about myself – I'm a 24 y.o. dude, living in Ukraine and doing electronics for hobby. Got special passion for HV stuff.
Already got plenty of cool projects, bot they're mostly known only in my region, I rarely appear on foreign forums.

Well, I hope you'll be interested, I'll tell about some of them in the topics. :)

Good to see you.

I'm more of a lurker than a poster but I hope you get some good exposure on this site.

Cheers.

Welcome NEYi!
I think I saw few of your videos on youtube about CPLD DRSSTC drivers and bluetooth interrupter. Did you design them? There is not much info about them in English and I'd love to hear some details

Welcome Felix and Eugene :)

Please do also share your youtube channels and such if you have it, I got so many subscriptions that I am not always sure if I have all the interesting channels added :)

Hi everybody!

I am 17 years old, and have taken an interest in the electronics hobby since I was about 6. I am from Australia, and have just completed year 11. I have previously built a small SSTC, and am now working on my first DRSSTC. I've joined the forum primarily to seek advice on the DRSSTC (not going quite to plan at this stage...  :P), but I also hope to stay around, and help others.   :)

I look forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome to HVF :)

We will soon get you going with that DRSSTC and please do make a thread about your SSTC if you want to show it off, looks like its built on top of a PC power supply?

Thanks for the reply!

I'll probably make a thread for it some time. The box is actually made from 1.5mm thick aluminium sheet :)

Hey Everyone .

I'm from the Uk  , I have been interested in electronics and HV for a while now Have done a few small VTTCs and SSTCs and other bits a peices . I try and collect HV transofmers mostly .

I look foward to reading the threads on here and seeing what people do and hopfuly oneday making a small DRSSTC .

Hello everybody, greetings from Iceland.

My name is Gabríel Snær, Translates to Gabriel Snow. I am 21 years old, I am a electrician, electronics technician, and currently a student and teacher teaching digital electroncis and theory of electricity. I have interests in far too many fields. The Tesla coil has captivated me since I first saw highvoltagefeathers Tesla coil play sail many years back. I attempted to build a SSTC a year and a half ago but It was my finals project so I had a deadline, I go it runnig int time but it was poorly optimized and tuned.

I want to make another DRSSTC that is audio modulated, I am learning the physics behind the Tesla coil deeper. I came to this forum to learn and see how others are making their Telsa coil, I currently plan on replicating a supported DRSSTC and interrutper and in building learn from it to hopefully design my own customized one. I have made many projects over the years, I have sadly never documented them. This year I plan on starting a YouTube channel where I build projects and then later upload a video that goes over the theory involved in the project, be it physics or programming.

I am really impressed by the number of people that are active on this forum. Currently the best sounding coils I know of are Highvoltagefeathers, Eric Goodchilds and Fabrício H. Franzolis's coil which I think are based on Steve Wards DRSSTC.5, correct me if I'm wrong. If you guys have any info on that I would love to set up a correspondence or thread to discuss and piece the build together  ;D

Hope to use this forum a lot.

Welcome both Dash and Gabriel

You have come to right the place for seeking out help on building a DRSSTC and if you want to discuss or get feedback on your previous projects just give it a god on making a thread about them, there is always something to learn from both SSTC/VTTC construction that can be taken into the DRSSTC realm

I look forward to write and read with you :)

Hi, everyone.
I am a 24-year-old Tesla coil hobbyist from Wuhan, China.
My job is Chip Technology Support Engineer.

I have 11 years of Tesla Coil hobby experience.
The first Tesla coil was made by winding the coil with a mineral water bottle. The arc was only 2 cm. ;D
At present, I have done DRSSTC, QCWDRSSTC and some CLASSE design experience.

I just finished the design of "Yunbao" jump pulse driver the year before last, see it

‘Yunbao’pulse skipping driver

Recently, I am developing UD3.3A for full digital signal input phase shifting.

At present, I am completing the work of writing the hardware logic of the phase shifting part of the alternating hard switch bridge arm.
Hope to share with you more! Thank you!  :D

Hi black.yang and welcome to HVF

Impressive coils, outstanding work on the digital driver and great to have someone on the forum that understands Chinese, as you could see in the aliexpress driver thread, we do have a hard time when all we have available is google translate and sometimes a lot of text comes on pictures.

Please do make a thread or two to show some of your best coils, I took a look at your youku account (Chinese pendant to youtube?) and you have a good variety of work there.

I think I may be able to help translate the Chinese I can, even though I sometimes rely on Google.;D
In the future, I will gradually update my work in the forum posts.

I too made a pulse skip driver, based on analog hardware (the UD 2.7c).

If you have been able to get sword-like sparks, or even some interesting results using pulse skip behavior, please share it.

The driver I designed is at

https://github.com/profdc9/DRSSTC-PCB-Pack/tree/master/ud29

And the thread where I show the waveforms and results is

https://highvoltageforum.net/index.php?topic=346.0

Thanks for any experience you can shared about your pulse skip driver behavior.

Dan

Hello!

Experimentonomen here, i used to be registered over on 4hv.org but eventually forgot about the site when life called, and now the login seems disabled, so i found my way here through the irc channel.

Since then i've had a few jobs, moved to an apartment, got a cat and bought a truck which im currently sinking most money into repairing things that has broke since buying it around a year ago.

As i had a day job consisting of taking apart all kinds of electronics for the past 4-5 years i kinda lost interest in the hobby at home, but now as that workplace shut down last year and i now work as a driver instead, im starting to think of projects to do again.

Hi Experimentonomen and Bambinz, welcome to HVF.

Experimentonomen, it has been many years since you were last on IRC and it was good to see you active again, got any projects on your mind?

Bambinz, your english is more than good enough for getting your message across, do not worry too much about that. When you make a thread about your design/work, please just include as many details, written in text and pictures of the things in question, makes it much easier to help you :)

Latest project thoughts i've had have been getting back into the induction heater project, various audio amplifier projects, both tube and ss ones. And maybe some smallish sstc. I just need to get a lab desk setup at home again as i moved that off to a location that i ended up never going to.

Happy Saturday gents!  I joined this morning and posted a question about an induction heater PS.

I am 71 years old and  live in Collierville, TN USA.  I'm not very knowledgeable in the electronics field but am fascinated with what you guys do and love reading about your many projects! I am a hobby machinist and lifelong tinkerer with a teeny bit of knowledge about a lot of different things.

Cheers! :)
