FPS4000
« on: February 24, 2020, 02:21:50 PM »
Hey Everyone, I'm new to the forum.  I am one of the lucky ones to actually receive my FPS4000 camera before the company went under.  Had a bit of an issue, in that I didn't get the SD card with the needed software shipped with the camera, however i'm hoping to get a copy of that software soon so I can really start playing with it.  So far my impressions are that the camera is built well, the operation is pretty intuitive, but options are limited (what I would expect from something new to market).  You need a ton of light, like a ton of light...I have two huge LED lighting panels and its just barely enough.  I'll try to share more when i'm able to get the video off the camera and onto a computer to play with.  I would also be curious to see how many others out there actually got a camera, which version it was, and any tricks or tips they have noticed.  Anyway, hope to share more soon!

Without the PC software, you can still transfer the internal memory to the SD card, it just takes forever! At least that is what I can do on the FPS1000HD

Please do post some pictures of the FPS4000, it is even more a myth than the FPS1000 :)

I just finished building a 250W LED flood light for high speed filming, part 3 of my video series will be a flicker test and some other measurements: https://highvoltageforum.net/index.php?topic=954.0

Howdy,

It's great meeting you guys, and I have some software to share with you guys.
I was in a total loss with this fps4000 camera for the past few months bc our "inventor" disappeared. Also, I wrote to a law firm which is in the same town as the liquidation company to see out about and sort of restitution. They wrote me back and said if you can find anyone to fix the camera (we the law firm) can push this cost back on the liquidation company. Happy to share with you this law firm's info as well.

Anyhow, I wanted to share with you guys two things that might help. I do have a version of the 1000fps firmware for the camera. I do have a couple of versions of the PC software and happy to share all of it with you guys. I will upload them, and "if approved by "high voltage," I can add this link into the form. Also, I had an issue with the software that (with the help of my neighbor who is a software guy) helped fix the software, and now I can download footage as DNG files with no problem. (happy to share this info as well ) I do recommend saving them on to an external hard drive that fasts and using only a USB 3.0 connection.
Anyhow, I'm on a project right now, but when I finish, I'll create a link for this group, and anyone who needs the above files is welcome to them.

-Cameron

Hi Cameron

Welcome to the collection of rare FPSxxxx owners :)

I got the fps1000.exe which says "Beta 1.2" in the title bar, what version do you have?

Hello folks,

after many years i have cleaned out my cellar again and found a fps4000, incl. case / power supply etc...

I should also have all the software somewhere.
