Some question before startup and kill everything
« on: January 08, 2024, 05:01:20 PM »
Hi,
I already solved the issue with my UD 2.7 this morning.
Now I  need some help to get my coil up and running.
That you get an picture of my coil I link my current picture folder and some pictures at the end of this text.

https://photos.app.goo.gl/yFMSDBx9rxwrfnNV8

Hopefully I don't make any big mistakes during my build if you found something in the pictures what can cause some trouble let me know!

Main question is if you know the GDT driver "ready to mount" for IGBT bricks from Aliexpress?
https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005004662091245.html
I already solder them to the bricks can I still measure if they work properly with the UD2.7?

Than I am not sure with the feedback and OCW transformer.
How can I figure out if the have the right output. They are 1000/1
https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005003334623768.html

Because I wait some month - yes month for the parts of the UD2.7 I use my onetesla baord desolder the HV cap and use it with the build in onces to tune the primary to a sweet spot after measuring the rough spot.

Will be this tuning also work for the CM200 and the UD2.7?

What else should I measure and check before I power um and possibly destroy the CM200?
Let me know!!
Thanks

Really looks nice, bet you can't wait, I can feel the tension. What was the deal on the caps in the pictures, your meter was measuring a .035 and showing .086 which would have been ok for 4 in series..? Did you also change your mind on which caps to use..? Really hope to see first light, that is really nice build.

Thanks!
For the Cap yes they are 0.035 when you look on the Meter there is th "H" for data hold just push in the wrong second and take the picture...
BUT
Later on I figure out that the DHT Caps are for Power stabilisation and get destroyed in Resonant action.
For this I buy the 0.44uf Caps who are designed for this purpose.

Very nice looking build.  Can't wait to see the videos of it in action.
With enough voltage, everything becomes a conductor.  With enough current, everything becomes a fuse.

Hi all,
solved nearly all issues and some of you ask to see it in action.
Here you are!

80% test with 200VAC --> around 600VDC on Bridge and 80% pulswidth from the OneTesla Interruptor who is already moderate.
I got 1.5m arcs and I think I am far away from the 400A setting for the CM200DY-24NF.

Currently I work on the second parasitic arcing from the toroid. Maybe I solved it.
Beside I upgrade it to a Voltage Doubler setup.

Here is a Nice SloMo
