Broken induction stove

Hello.

Mi induction stove works nice, but the glass is broken, so I wonder if I can take advantage of the induction system. For example to make a powerful induction heater to melt metals or something.

Most induction stoves works in a quasi-resonant mode, because it is a really cheap inverter type to build and it runs on chopped up mains sine-wave.

They are designed to work with very little deviation to their frequency around 20-25 kHz. They do not tolerate big changes in Q, from the design.

I got a few induction cooker boards, where I would just use the power section, but replace the entire driver circuit.

Thanks for your answer. I have read the article and saw the video but my knowledge is not enough to understand well.

I suppose I can´t use it to make a induction heater to melt meltal right?
