I was last time at Roskilde in 2007, for 5 years from 2002 to 2007. Never saw a Tesla coil before I brought it myself ;)

Here is a small recap of what happened at the Science Pavilion

Kinda sad that it's too far away for me. Guess I'll have to get my own coil finally working and do my own shows  ;D

As I commented on youtube, glad to see you're enjoying it and the visitors as well!

Kind regards,
Max

Its too bad that they wouldn't let you operate it indoors where the ambient light level could have been reduced. I suppose they were afraid of someone getting zapped.

I will post another video with a much bigger audience :) The Syntherrupter works nice, I just had too many problems getting the Tesla Synth Player to work, due to using python on Windows 10 and Antoine used some direct "python3" references, where win10 install only uses "python"

Its too bad that they wouldn't let you operate it indoors where the ambient light level could have been reduced. I suppose they were afraid of someone getting zapped.

Actually its fire hazard, as I understood from the one making the applications. Zapping hazard was all mitigated by grounding and shielding with fence. I would however argue that it would never set anything on fire, unless it itself catches fire, which is likely :) But fire from the sparks itself... not unless you bring gas or gasoline.

That audience is just priceless!  :D
Nice collection of MIDIs. 3-4 voices max if I heard correctly?

I just had too many problems getting the Tesla Synth Player to work, due to using python on Windows 10 and Antoine used some direct "python3" references, where win10 install only uses "python"
I saw your issue on GitHub. When I installed it I made those changes without really thinking about it since I'm more familiar with python. However, if you're less familiar I imagine it can be a pain in the butt to figure it out. Honestly I don't know why a python 3 installation doesn't add a python3 alias. I can't see how that would hurt anyone, yet it would completely solve this issue.

The Syntherrupter works nice
So glad to hear! Bad enough that I found quite a few issues during my own test and demo runs; I really wouldn't want that to happen on a demo like this done by someone else than myself. All things considered it is almost miraculous that nobody else faced any of those issues. My development workflow is really not "professional" enough ensure the quality this device deserves/should have IMO. ATM this doesn't matter since I don't have the time for much dev work anyways but still, it bugs me. Right now at least it seems like there aren't many bugs left (finally...).

Although... What caused the stuttering at 5:04-5:06 in the latest video? Any explanation in your setup or do you assume it's some glitch of Syntherrupter? I hope not because it seems to be rather rare a.k.a. a PITA to debug...

Kind regards,
Max
