It is starting to feel like it :)

This video is together with my son, as day care is shut down as well.

I show a range of different industrial components that you can salvage from thrown out machines, main breaker panels, x-ray and UPS systems. Look at privately owned scrap yards and metal recyclers in your area to get the same opportunities to find stuff like this, be prepared to pay per kg for some of the stuff that contains large copper pieces like the big contactors or transformer scrap price for the filters. Overall it is still a very cheap way to obtain expensive parts.

We are now looking at 500 hospitalized, 100+ in intensive care, 70+ dead and government still expect this to first top in 2-3 weeks. No plans for unlocking yet.

Day 18: Over the years I have collected a great deal of salvaged #IGBT bricks from the different power #electronics I have taken apart. It have primarily kept 50+ Ampere rated bricks, single or half-bridge modules and 3 phase modules without builtin protection. It mostly comes from UPS, motor drives, welders or x-ray generators. #teardown

Latest messages from the government is select few, partial opening in 2 weeks, if numbers stay "linear" for the next 2 weeks. Only time will tell what happens.

Day 19 in isolation topic: IEC and CEE plugs for high power single and three phase connection of equipment. I do a rundown of old, new and special connectors and plugs used in Europe. Ranging from 230V 10A to 400V 63A.

We are still below 200 dead _WITH_ corona. No official numbers say that anyone died from it, but there is so many dead that had the virus. This is due to the issues with many being very sick in the first place.

Number of people in ventilators went down.

I spoke to a couple that live nearby me, husband was just home from hospital, he was in with corona and his story about being completely drained, not even able to crawl is frightening. It goes very fast from the first symptoms and fever and the next day you might not even be able to get yourself help, if you are alone.

I starter spring cleaning my work shop and found a lot of stuff that I had forgot about, sorted stuff in boxes together and is finding "right" places for it all :)

Fuses is day 24 topic.

Here in USA, the federal government turned around and now recommends wearing masks when out on the street or the food store.  Many sewing machines are busy, including one at my sister's house.

On this rainy day I cleaned out a long-neglected corner of the garage.  Found my matched set of Pearson current transformers.  How come Pearson seems to be promoting the concept that direction of electric current is the direction of electron drift?

Here's another very strange item in transformer collection.

Anybody know what it's from, or what it's for?  The largest winding is on a segmented bobbin & I guess it's for high voltage.

Newly tested and found infected numbers finally seem to level off here in Germany. That indicates also a not anymore growing number of not tested but infected. And this indicates a not anymore increasing chance to contract the infection yourself. A gleam of light at the end of the tunnel.

In Germany there is currently about 0.12% of the total population tested and infected. Also, from the average lifetime and population here, there are between 2500 and 3000 "normal" deaths a day. If there'd be no correlation between dying and corona, 0.12% of the 2500 or 3000 would happen to have corona at the time of their decease. That 'd be around 3 a day. Actually the present number of dead tested positive is around 180 a day. So for 3 it is a coincidence, for 177 not.

I am not saying they are denying corona deaths, but they are just not listed as such without proper examination of cause of death. So over time the numbers will level out to world average I guess.

Todays late speech by our prime minister did not make it into todays video. We reopen Denmark, in some sort of way for the 3 to 12 year olds, so the parents can return to work full time, mostly from home, and possibly to get the most healthy part of the population infected first. I am to work from home till at least May 10th now and all big gatherings like festivals are forbidden till after August. So 10 people max rule still applies.

I am still cleaning out in my work shop since I am now on Easter vacation and are not going anywhere, just having with the kids and girlfriend at home.

Boris Johnson, the British prime minister, has now been moved to intensive care. 50% of people who go in there with covid-19 don't make it out alive.

Hoarding mania has gone beyond toilet paper, hand-disinfecting gel, etc.

But first: Why are so many people afraid of running out of TP?  There are plenty of substitutes that are sufficiently hygienic and comfortable.  So what if they are not flushable?  TP is not considered flushable in many developing countries, and pots everywhere should have a wastebasket nearby.   Eww?  Get one with a lid on it, activated hands-free with a foot pedal or, as I have seen, an IR sensor.

Anyway, in recent forays for food I have visited aisles where they keep peanut butter.
But the stores are are all out of the crunchy kind.
Nothing but smooth, if you don't count "Peanut Butter Spread", or packages with slightly less than the traditional quantities.
What is going on?  Do most fanatical preppers like their peanut butter crunchy?

The French must be laughing at the world's hoarding of toilet paper right now with their bidets.  ;D

But doesn't that lead to other diseases etc, pretty sure it's why the Victorians built sewer networks to dispose of human waste in a sanitary way.

What did the booze section look like at the store? People have started bulk buying it here like they're about to throw an end of the world party.

The drive smoked and made it into a teardown, not much news on opening up Denmark, except a press conference with the prime minister not saying anything specific... Just barely sub 300 dead now, 299 is the official numbers that make them want to open up some retail stores.

Day 36. The death ratio per million citizens is at 53 in Denmark. It is in the low end of the scale.

In this video I teardown the 7MBP50RA120 IGBT module that consists of 7x IGBT dies, diodes and internal protective circuits.

So who is getting a handle on Covid
here in NZ 1400 infected 11 deaths we are a sixtyeth of the population of the USA so to give a comparison multiply the nz numbers by 60 and compare to the USA
