Just a noob with some HV concerns...

Hello everyone, I am sort of new to high voltage electronics, and I have a lot to learn still. The only thing is that I have a severe case of OCD, which is which is where I worry excessively about things even if they aren't reasonable concerns.
Anyway, I was using HV electronics to distract me from my obsessions, when suddenly the OCD started to creep into my new hobby. My (irrational and may not make sense) worries include:
-Could experimenting with high voltage melt the wires in the walls, or start a wire in the walls?
-Could it fry my circuit breaker and start a fire?
-Would a MOT Metal Melter start a fire if the output is 1000 Amps but my circuit breaker is only 500 Amps (I know this doesn't make any sense by my OCD distorts my thinking)
Sorry for bringing mental illness into this forum, but its not like I could ask anyone who would know better than people like you guys.
P.S. I have the knowledge to safely handle HV, and have done so in the past, but my OCD dwells on what I can't see (ei. in the walls)

To begin with....

Not likely. It's like saying: could my pressure washer experiments damage the pipes and hoses bringing house water to pump?
The wires in your house and protective circuit breakers are product of more than 100 years of experience.

That said, what do you mean by experimenting with high voltage?  For some amateurs that means big hot arcs on purpose.  For others, there is no need or interest in intentional arcs at any frequency.

Not sure what you mean by MOT Metal Melter.  If you want to cast metal, it's hard to imagine a MOT being part of a useful melting furnace.  Except maybe as part of a functional microwave oven, with one of those thermally insulated MW-absorbing crucibles inside.  Powering up MOT's can expose noobs to lethal electric shocks, vastly more dangerous than house wiring.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to respond. What I mean by experimenting with HV is making big hot arcs via NST, MOT, Flybacks, etc. And the metal melter made from a MOT would be just for the sake of putting 800 amps through nails and wrenches, etc.

No experimenting with high voltage cannot melt your wires inside your walls. That's what breakers are for, if you draw too much current they will trip and disconnect your circuits before the wires get too hot.
Also what you call a MOT Metal Melter is i guess a MOT with secondary replaced by a single or just a few turns of wire to produce a lot of current.
It's true that a MOT can output a lot of current this way (some can deliver over 2kA). But that's only the secondary's coil current, your primary will not be drawing anything close to that much current (probably about 30A at max.).

As long as your breakers are working fine, you have nothing to worry about (except of course.. the high voltage)
