Macro Photography of Electronic Components

It's  my first post on this forum, although I have participated under this  nickname in other various forums/ discussions. I’ve discovered that I also have this passion for macro photography, which is more practical  to practice if there’s not enough time and access to a small workshop in which to complete my various electronic projects.  ;D   I will try it  to post here a series of images taken by me,  of various electric/electronic components, using  only a DSLR camera, Canon EOS 5D/Canon EOS R  and a a very good dedicated macro lens, Canon MP-E 65mm, manual rails and using a stacking software (Helicon Focus), post processing in Photoshop.

Integrated circuits are really amazing, able to achieve so many functions, especially programmable logic integrated circuits. For example, I recently saw an article that introduced the electronic components HT12E and HT12D to make wireless transmitters and receivers, very detailed.

Beautiful images! I love the the colors.

I have done some wire bonding of parts for research, and its pretty relaxing run bond wires between pads.

These photos have quite the depth of field, how many images do you take take for each finished photo?

Wow, some great pics there. Also interested in the workflow you're using to get the focus stacking looking so good.

Have you seen the pics from this guy - may be of interest to you (more die shots than packages, but also done with DSLR gear)? https://richis-lab.de/index.htm - he posts some of it to EEVBlog (mostly under the projects board, username Noopy).

I'm now thinking that I need to find some semiconductors with nice packages like these that can be opened without destroying the silicon inside - I have a LWIR macro lens and VGA thermal camera that I should try to use on some operating semiconductors (will be massively lower resolution, but maybe interesting all the same).
